Illustrator and picture book writer Catherine Rayner, has won multiple awards for her work, where inspiration is often taken from her very own pets.In Killean P.S today , Catherine read from a selection of her stories “Augustus and his smile” and “Smelly Louie” and Julia Donaldson’s new book “ The Go Away Bird “ which Catherine has illustrated! Catherine also demonstrated how she illustrated her book “Augustus and his smile”. An illustration she has donated to our school. Catherine also got a chance to look at our school displays which were inspired by her books . It was a very enjoyable and valuable experience for our pupils . Thank you once again to Catherine and to The Scottish Book Trust for making this visit possible.
