A massive congratulations to the Killean boys’ teams today who won their Cumann na mBunscol league final today. This is the first time in a very long time the Malachy McGeeney Schools trophy has come to Killean and it was all down to the unbelievable display of talent, determination and teamwork from the boys that made this happen, not just today but throughout all the games in the league this year.
Well done to our opponents today, St Oliver Plunkett’s Ballyhegan, who like the Killean team were also unbeaten in their league section. They were brilliant opponents today and didn't make it easy for the Killean team.
It was a great day for all involved and the boys loved every minute of it. We would also like to thank all the parents who came to support the children and the school today and throughout the league campaign.
Boys were so incredibly proud of you all and we hope this isn’t the end to the trophies this school year. Congratulations boys!!!
