P5/6 Mummifying fruit

During science week P5/6 carried out an experiment relating to their Ancient Egyptian topic. Using salt and baking soda they mummified an apple and a tomato. After 2 weeks they checked the apple and tomato that were in the ‘natron’ and compared them with the apple and tomato which were not. Check out the photos to see the results.
