To finish off their World War 2 topic, P5/6 enjoyed a trip to the Palace Stables, which was a base for American G.I. Soldiers during World War 2. They met an American army captain, an Evacuation Officer, they made identity cards, talked about rationing and life during the war and got to go down the 200 year old steps into the underground shelter.
