Way To Go!! Four in a Row!! Thomas Mallon Stays in Killean 🏆
Today, we once again joined together with our local schools, Cloughoge and Meigh Primary, to honour the legacy of the great Thomas Mallon by participating in the tournament named in his memory. Thomas Mallon, a former principal of Killean, holds a special place in the history of our school and in the heart of our community.
It was important for us, as a school community, to walk in his footsteps—celebrating every child who took to the field today and encouraging them to continue developing both their skills and their passion for Gaelic football.
We are delighted to share that the boys and girls of St Michael’s PS, Killean, were victorious once again, keeping the Thomas Mallon Cup at our school for the fourth consecutive year. This achievement is a testament to the incredible talent and teamwork shown by both of our Killean teams. Every player gave their all, making their school, their teachers, and most importantly, themselves proud.
A huge well done to Cloughoge and Meigh—fantastic opponents who challenged us every step of the way and contributed to a brilliant day of sport.
This special event wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of the Mallon family and the volunteers from Killeavy GAA. We are deeply grateful for their continued support in making this day so meaningful each year.
Thank you also to the parents who came out to cheer on the children and to Aileen, our Gaelic coach, for her dedication throughout the year in helping the children grow in skill and confidence. Your support means the world to us, and we’re so glad you could share today with us.
Congratulations once again to all the boys and girls—you were outstanding! We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
